The Waves of Giving Luncheon
The Waves of Giving Luncheon is a one-of-a-kind networking event for professionals and advocates in any industry that is impacted by the tireless efforts of family caregivers.
All proceeds from the Waves of Giving Luncheon benefit Southern Caregiver Resource Center's vital support programs for family caregivers.

The Caregiver Strong Virtual 5K
Every November, in honor of National Family Caregivers Month, SCRC offers our community the chance to improve their physical and mental well-being while supporting family caregivers in San Diego and Imperial Counties.
This virtual fundraiser allows participants to complete a 5K "race" at their own pace over the course of a month - so they can balance self-care along with their busy schedules and caregiving responsibilities.

Caring for the Caregiver Workshops
SCRC collaborates with the leading names in healthcare and senior services to host free educational workshops for our community. Our Caring for the Caregiver Workshops feature evidence-based presentations on aging, memory loss, stress management, and more. Recent workshop topics include "A Focus on Alzheimer's Disease" and "Diabetes, Dementia, and Caregiving in the Community".

Digital Resources for Caregivers
SCRC enlists the support of our fellow caregiver advocates to produce digital, educational content for caregivers.
Our monthly podcast, Let's Talk Caregiving, features expert guests in the fields of healthcare, social services, academia, and beyond. Similarly, our Instagram Live series, Charla, Café, y Cuidadores, features Spanish-language discussions with caregiving experts as well as experienced family caregivers living in San Diego.
